Over the past year, we have hired many new employees, and we continue to have an ongoing need for MORE STAFF at our factory in JAKOBSTAD.

Hilltip is Europe’s leading manufacturer of road maintenance equipment designed for pickups and light trucks. We are part of the Swedish technology group Sdiptech AB (publ) and have subsidiaries in Finland, Germany, and the USA. In 2024, our turnover reached €20.8 million (Hilltip Group €27 million), with 97% of sales coming from exports, primarily to Europe and the USA. We are in a strong growth and development phase, offering YOU an exciting opportunity to join us on this growth journey alongside our customers, partners, and team members. Last year, we celebrated our 20th anniversary by launching a dozen new products and establishing new distribution channels for the rapidly growing Asian market. In the spring of 2025, we will launch comprehensive de-icing equipment for rural and highway applications and begin full-scale final assembly at our newly built factory in the USA, serving the North American market.

We are now looking to expand our team with the following positions:

SOFTWARE & HARDWARE ENGINEER

We are strengthening our development team with a person in software and electronic hardware development. As a developer, you will be involved in the entire process, from prototype to finished product, together with a team of talented engineers. You will work with electronic hardware-related design and programming of equipment control units.

Your job duties will also include:

  • Development of software for new products
  • Troubleshooting and testing of software and electronics on existing products
  • Technical support for sales and “after sales”

Special knowledge to gain success in the role:

  • Good knowledge of C/C++
  • Prior experience in electronics construction is seen as a merit

ELECTRONICS AND AUTOMATION ENGINEER

We are strengthening our development team with someone passionate about electrical engineering and automation.

As a developer, you will be involved in the entire process, from prototype to finished product, working alongside a team of skilled engineers. You will work on the design of electronic hardware and programming of control units.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing software for new products
  • Troubleshooting and improving electronics in existing products
  • Being part of a team providing technical support internally, to sales and aftermarket

Specific skills required for success in this role:

  • Knowledge of C/C++ and/or PLC
  • Previous experience in electronics development is considered a merit but not required

TEAM LEADER FOR ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLY

We are looking for a driven and dedicated team leader for our electronics department. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of employees in the production and assembly of electronic components. You will ensure that production meets established quality requirements, timelines, and efficiency targets.

As a team leader, you are a key player in fostering a positive work environment where the team can achieve its goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delegating tasks within the team
  • Ensuring production goals are met according to quality standards and deadlines
  • Leading and motivating employees to achieve the best possible results
  • Monitoring and following up on production processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring workplace safety and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collaborating with other departments to optimize production

We expect:

  • Experience in team leadership, preferably in manufacturing or electronics production
  • A strong technical understanding and interest in electronics and production techniques
  • Ability to organize, plan, and solve problems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in teams
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience with LEAN practices or other production methodologies is a plus

ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLER

Your main tasks will include:

  • Manufacturing and assembly of wiring harnesses and other electrical components

We expect:

  • A basic qualification in electrical and automation technology (e.g., from Optima)
  • Precision and a structured approach to work
  • Previous work experience as an electrical assembler is considered a merit

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS WORKER

Your main tasks will include:

  • Receiving goods, quality control, and registering incoming deliveries
  • Internal logistics, including inventory movements, stock control, and inventory management
  • Process development for warehouse and logistics operations

We expect:

  • Precision and a structured approach to work
  • Experience in operating and handling warehouse trucks
  • Experience in warehouse and logistics work with basic IT skills is a plus but not required

WELDER

Your main tasks will include:

  • Welding snowplows, salt and sand spreaders, and other auxiliary equipment for our finished products

We expect:

  • Welding education or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in MIG/MAG/TIG welding
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Precision and a structured approach to work

AREA SALES MANAGER

You will be responsible for a designated area in Europe, developing sales with both existing and new partners.

Key qualifications for success in this role:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Technical interest
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Travel required: approximately 20–30 days per year

SALES SUPPORT

You will support our sales team internally and assist our distributors across Europe with their inquiries and order management.

Key qualifications for success in this role:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
  • Customer-oriented and communicative mindset
  • Technical interest
