Over the past year, we have hired many new employees, and we continue to have an ongoing need for MORE STAFF at our factory in JAKOBSTAD.

Hilltip is Europe’s leading manufacturer of road maintenance equipment designed for pickups and light trucks. We are part of the Swedish technology group Sdiptech AB (publ) and have subsidiaries in Finland, Germany, and the USA. In 2024, our turnover reached €21.4 million (Hilltip Group €27 million), with 97% of sales coming from exports, primarily to Europe and the USA. We are in a strong growth and development phase, offering YOU an exciting opportunity to join us on this growth journey alongside our customers, partners, and team members. We are currently constructing a new production facility, which will become operational in autumn 2026. We have also launched comprehensive snow and ice control equipment for main roads and highways and expect continued strong growth.

SALES SUPPORT

You will support our sales team internally as well as our distributors across Europe, handling their inquiries and managing orders.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Strong English skills, both spoken and written; other languages are a plus
  • A customer-oriented and communicative approach
  • Technical interest

MARKETING SPECIALIST

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Specialist who enjoys working operationally and driving marketing projects from idea to finished production. The role has broad responsibilities, and together with colleagues, you will ensure that our marketing activities are executed efficiently and with high quality.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage Hilltip’s Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts for Europe and North America
  • Plan and execute trade shows and events together with colleagues
  • Support our distributors in their marketing and branding efforts across Europe and North America
  • Ensure that the Hilltip brand is implemented correctly and consistently at our distributors
  • Contribute operationally to daily marketing work, including digital and practical tasks

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Strong understanding of Adwords, SEO, SEM, WordPress, and web analytics
  • Experience with various CMS systems
  • Strong ability to write engaging, audience-focused content for blogs and magazines
  • Creativity, initiative, and a structured work approach

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are strengthening our R&D department and looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in the entire lifecycle of our products—from initial prototype to finished high-quality equipment—working alongside a team of talented and dedicated colleagues.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Create and refine designs with a focus on durability and functionality
  • Maintain and improve our current product portfolio to enhance production efficiency and the customer experience
  • Manage product structures and documentation within our MONITOR ERP system and SOLIDWORKS
  • Design and develop new products using a sales-oriented engineering philosophy, ensuring our solutions meet market needs

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong experience working in a SOLIDWORKS environment
  • Solid understanding of the metal industry, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • A proactive, “hands-on” approach to problem-solving and the ability to collaborate across departments

TEAM LEADER – ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT

About the role:

We are looking for a driven and engaged team leader for our electronics department. You will lead and develop a team working with the production and assembly of electronic components. You will ensure production meets quality standards, deadlines, and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and allocate tasks within the team
  • Ensure production goals are achieved according to quality standards and deadlines
  • Lead and motivate employees to achieve the best possible results
  • Monitor and follow up on production processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee workplace safety according to regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production

We expect you to have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Optima)
  • Experience in team leadership, preferably in manufacturing or electronics production
  • Good technical understanding and interest in electronics and production technology
  • Ability to organize, plan, and solve problems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (both spoken and written)
  • Experience with LEAN or other production methods is a plus

CABLE ASSEMBLER

Main responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and assemble wiring harnesses and other electrical components

We expect you to have:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or automation, or at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail and structured work habits
  • Previous experience in wiring harness assembly or other electrical assembly
  • Basic ability to read electrical schematics

SPECIALIZED ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLER

Main responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting of wiring harnesses and other electrical equipment
  • Soldering circuit boards
  • Special electronics installations on light and heavy vehicles
  • Create and draw basic electrical schematics according to installation
  • Follow-up and documentation of RMA issues
  • Manufacture and assemble wiring harnesses and other electrical components

We expect you to have:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or automation (e.g., Optima)
  • 2–3 years’ experience as an electrical assembler
  • Accuracy and structured work approach
  • Experience in process automation and electrical cabinet assembly
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Basic understanding of vehicle electronics
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

2 ASSEMBLERS / 2 PRE-ASSEMBLERS

Your main tasks will include:

  • Assembly of snowplows, sand spreaders, and other production-related tasks

We expect:

  • An open attitude to learning – we will train you to succeed in your role
  • Previous experience is considered a merit

2 PRESS BRAKE OPERATORS

About the Role:
Do you have experience with sheet metal work and enjoy a technical, hands-on role? Are you precise, systematic, and eager to learn a new trade? Then this could be the role for you.

Main responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC press brakes
  • Bend sheet metal parts according to drawings and specifications
  • Perform quality control and measurements on finished parts
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of machines
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure efficient workflow

We expect you to have:

  • Experience as a press brake operator or similar role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of precision and quality
  • Accuracy, responsibility, and independence
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Fluent in Swedish (Finnish/English is a plus)

Merits:

  • Experience with CNC programming (e.g., Ermaksan, Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, or similar)
  • Forklift or overhead crane license
  • Technical education in industry or workshop

3 WELDERS

Your main tasks will include:

  • Welding of snow plows, salt and sand spreaders, and other accessory equipment, e.g., frames
  • Pipe welding
  • Welding in stainless steel and FE materials

We expect:

  • Welding education or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in MIG/MAG/TIG welding
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Experience with thin and thick sheet welding
  • Ability to align products after welding
  • Precision and a structured approach to work
