Over the past year, we have hired many new employees, and we continue to have an ongoing need for MORE STAFF at our factory in JAKOBSTAD.

Hilltip is Europe’s leading manufacturer of road maintenance equipment designed for pickups and light trucks. We are part of the Swedish technology group Sdiptech AB (publ) and have subsidiaries in Finland, Germany, and the USA. In 2024, our turnover reached €21.4 million (Hilltip Group €27 million), with 97% of sales coming from exports, primarily to Europe and the USA. We are currently constructing a new production facility, which will become operational in autumn 2026. We have also launched comprehensive snow and ice control equipment for main roads and highways and expect continued strong growth.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER – FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Do you want to develop the smart solutions of the future for winter road maintenance while working in an international and rapidly growing company?

Hilltip is a leading manufacturer of snow and ice control equipment, serving customers across Europe and North America. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer who wants to help further develop our digital telematics platform, HTrack™.

HTrack™ is the heart of our connected solutions and is used by customers to monitor, track, and analyze their vehicles and equipment in real time. Through data, mapping, and automated reporting, we help our customers work more efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

About the role:

As part of our development team, you will play a key role in the continued development of the HTrack™ platform. You will work on everything from user-friendly web interfaces to databases, integrations, and new intelligent features.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing the HTrack platform’s web interface
  • Designing and further developing backend solutions and databases
  • Working with API integrations and data communication
  • Contributing to the development of new digital services and features
  • Maintaining and further developing the company’s websites and digital platforms
  • Collaborating closely with product development, marketing, and international customers

We are looking for someone with experience in:

  • PHP
  • JavaScript
  • MySQL and database management
  • HTML & CSS
  • WordPress

Additional qualifications that are a plus:

  • Git and version control
  • API integrations
  • Modern JavaScript frameworks
  • IoT, telematics, or cloud-based solutions

INSIDE SALES ENGINEER

You will support our sales team internally as well as our distributors across Europe, handling their inquiries and managing orders.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Strong English skills, both spoken and written; other languages are a plus
  • A customer-oriented and communicative approach
  • Technical interest

SPECIALIZED ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLER

  • Troubleshooting of wiring harnesses and other electrical equipment
  • Soldering circuit boards
  • Special electronics installations on light and heavy vehicles
  • Create and draw basic electrical schematics according to installation
  • Follow-up and documentation of RMA issues
  • Manufacture and assemble wiring harnesses and other electrical components

We expect you to have:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or automation (e.g., Optima)
  • 2–3 years’ experience as an electrical assembler
  • Accuracy and structured work approach
  • Experience in process automation and electrical cabinet assembly
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Basic understanding of vehicle electronics
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

3 WELDERS

Your main tasks will include:

  • Welding of snow plows, salt and sand spreaders, and other accessory equipment, e.g., frames
  • Pipe welding
  • Welding in stainless steel and FE materials

We expect:

  • Welding education or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in MIG/MAG/TIG welding
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Experience with thin and thick sheet welding
  • Ability to align products after welding
  • Precision and a structured approach to work
